The combination of executive and board level interest, clearly defined outcomes, and the sheer speed of adoption makes AI unlike anything we have seen before. Today, with the demonstrably increased power of AI, organizations can use AI to identify and capture meaningful insights from their data, leading to better productivity and operational efficiencies, and to deliver superior customer experience while increasing revenue and reducing cost. In order to scale and accelerate the impact of AI within your business, it is important to embrace a platform led approach to managing the entire digital innovation lifecycle. This platform should be open, scalable, trusted, and capable, so that you can create new, AI led innovation with faster time to value. Channel partner ecosystem has an important role in supporting enterprises in their journey to creating impact through AI. Partners should not only bring in the products and attached services capabilities, but should also elevate their role in the ecosystem by embracing a consultative approach and driving co-innovation with their clients.

The future of the technology infrastructure that accelerates digital transformation and innovation using emerging technologies has never been so disruptive before. The ecosystem of infra vendors and their partners has evolved rapidly over the past decade due to innovations enabled by cloud computing, cloud-native DevOps capabilities, and software-defined infrastructure automation. Further, the digital infrastructure is getting transformed again due to the disruption that Generative AI (GenAI) is bringing. GenAI is expected to be the number 1 driver of infrastructure investment over the next 18 months according to IDC’s recent study of the digital infrastructure. The real-time, data-intensive nature of GenAI applications will force many organizations to re-evaluate digital infrastructure plans and priorities. IDC believes that by 2028, 80% of IT buyers will prioritize as-a-service consumption for key workloads that require flexibility to help optimize IT spending, augment ITOps skills, and attain key sustainability metrics. By 2028, 75% of IT organizations will implement AI-driven anomaly detection built into infrastructure components to thwart never-before-seen ransomware attack types. The sustainability metrics will influence quite a few infrastructure components. IDC believes, by 2028, due to growing power scarcity and rising sustainability mandates, 60% of datacenters will adopt fit-for-purpose solutions such as microgrids, custom silicon, liquid cooling, and ruggedization. With the confluence of Edge, Cloud and IoT devices, and empowered by GenAI, the Digital Infrastructure of future is set to look completely different than what it used to be a decade ago.
